Perfect Pairs Blackjack Rules
With the addition of a few different rules than in regular Blackjack, the ultimate goal of BJ and Perfect Pairs is to achieve 21 or as close to it without going over in each hand. You must be closer to 21 than the dealer is in order to be a winner.
How to Play Perfect Pairs Blackjack
The set up of the gaming screen is very user-friendly
and easy to follow. Some of the major keys to the
game are outlined in the center of the red velvety
looking playing table. The largest one reads, “Insurance
Pays 2 To 1.” The offering of insurance is not allowed
in several online blackjack games. But, what’s great
is that in BJ and Perfect Pairs, players can get insurance
when the dealer’s face card is an Ace. Your cost
to get insurance is half of what your betting hand
amount is. If the dealer has blackjack then you receive
2:1 on your bet, and if the dealer does not have blackjack,
then the house takes that money.
The most appealing aspect of BJ and Perfect Pairs
is that you can place additional bets on each hand.
If you have any type of pair, you will win even money
on your side bet. There are three different types
of matching pairs. A Mixed Pair could be two eights
(or any other number) from different suits. A Colored
Pair would be two eights, one a diamond and one a
heart. A Perfect Pair would be two eights of the
same suit. Of course, the odds of having a matching
pair are even lower than winning a blackjack hand,
so players will typically bet much less money in this
spot. A good way to wager the Perfect Pair bet would
be to bet a dollar per hand.
Another good part about BJ and Perfect Pairs is that the dealer must hit on a soft 17. A soft 17 hand occurs when a player has an Ace and a six. With the dealer having to hit on a soft 17, it slightly increases players’ chances of winning. Remember, this is a slight increase and in most cases, the house always wins.
What is somewhat deceiving about BJ and Perfect Pairs is that on the playing screen, it reads, “Blackjack Pays 3 To 2.” This is not entirely true. Actually, if you read the playing directions for BJ and Perfect Pairs, the only time a blackjack hand gives a 3 to 2 payout is on the first blackjack hand a player receives. All subsequent blackjack hands receive an even money payout.
Other than the above mentioned differences and BJ and Perfect Pairs specific rules, all the standard Blackjack rules apply. Players can double down, split pairs when the timing calls for such play.
To play BJ and Perfect Pairs, simply pick the dollar amount with which you are willing to play. Then you chose how much money you want to bet in each hand, as well as the dollar amount you want to bet in the Perfect Pairs circle. You can change the amounts you bet every hand or you can simply click on Rebet. The amount of your total Rebet will be displayed under the word Rebet, so you know before you click on it to deal. You can also bet up to two hands at the same time.
